Lọ́unlọ́un is a Pan-African literary journal. We are interested in historical events that have shaped the continent. We want to tell stories about Africa by African writers, both at home and abroad.
The events that make us who we are today are experiences that should be remembered and archived. Remembering gives the next generation room for better judgement, education, healing and restitution from communal patterns, and a better understanding of one’s self. Whether it’s a speculative exploration of what might have been, a realistic portrayal of historical events, or a narration of how one personally experienced a historical event, each piece contributes to the mosaic of our shared heritage.
